Davis Doubles: Pacific Oceania Pair Beats Iran
With the win, Oceania is 3-0 and won the play-off win in best of five games format. Pacific Oceania is in Group II next year, while Iran moves down to Group III. Cyrille Mainguy, captain of the Pacific, has dedicated the win to play out of the late Bill Camacho and Guam. Bill Camacho is Guam, the former president of the National Federation of tennis that has just passed away earlier this year. He helped continue to develop professional tennis in Guam, including the matches of Davis Cup tie.This is the first time in the history of participation in the Pacific Oceania Davis Cup team that went 3-0 after two days of play in Group II.
